Join Partner Hub

Introduction

You need a social media presence, website, or blog to join Rakuten Advertising's Partner Hub. You can either apply to partner with a brand from their splash page as a new creator or existing Rakuten publisher, or sign up after being invited by a brand.

We require the following information from all our creators:

  • Details about your online presence
  • Tax information and a valid mailing address

Platform Information

Brands look for creators who share robust and unique quality content on their online platforms. Beyond that, each brand has specific criteria that you must meet to be approved for their program. For example, a fashion brand may require that you post fashion-related content and generate a certain level of engagement. Your content must also be relevant to the brand's business verticals and meet brand guidelines.

When you apply to partner with a brand via Partner Hub, you are asked to authenticate at least one social media account and provide your number of monthly visitors or followers and page views. This is visible to the brand whose program you apply to.

This information allows the brand to learn about you and target offers that align with your audience. Be truthful and keep this information up to date.

Providing the brand with complete and accurate information maximizes your chances of being accepted into their program in Partner Hub.

Content Requirements

The content on accounts and pages must:

  • Be original and less than six months old.
  • Not be sexually explicit. This includes advertisements, videos, images, and text.
  • Not offer downloads of copyrighted software, movies, or music.

Websites must have at least 5 posts and 500 unique visitors. Social media and YouTube accounts must have at least 500 followers or subscribers, and a minimum of 5 posts.

 Note

Our Network Quality team screens and monitors creators to ensure the quality of our network. Creators with private pages or accounts will be contacted for a content review. For more information, review the Publisher Membership Agreement.

Tax Information

Once you have created your account, US tax laws and the Internal Revenue Service require Rakuten Advertising to collect your tax declaration. Without this information, Rakuten Advertising cannot issue payments.

Per the IRS, Rakuten Advertising is required to collect and report annually the information for individuals to whom commissions are paid. Without this information, Rakuten Advertising would be required to do a backup withhold of 24% on publisher commission payments for tax purposes.

The information we need depends on the country you are in. Learn more about providing your tax information.
