Intended Audience
This article is for creators who have neither received a brand's invitation to join Partner Hub nor registered as a Rakuten Advertising publisher. This includes creators whose social handles have been pre-approved by a brand.
- If you were emailed an invitation, view the steps to accept it instead.
- If you already have access to Rakuten's Publisher Dashboard, view the steps to apply for a Partner Hub account as a preexisting publisher.
Introduction
The steps outlined below will help you apply to Partner Hub and join the Rakuten Advertising Network from a brand's splash page. Anyone with an online presence can register and apply for free, and there is no cost to partner with any brand. Once the brand accepts your application, you can earn money from your website, email marketing, and social media promotions.

Instructions
You can apply online from your computer or mobile device. All major browsers are supported. If you have any issues, check out our common sign-up errors. Follow the steps below to get started:
- Go to the brand's splash page and click to apply.
- You will be redirected to a login page. Click Sign up now.
- Provide your email, first name, last name, and create a password. Click Sign up.
- A verification email is sent to the address provided. Access the email and click the verification link. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder or return to your browser and click Resend verification.
- Clicking the verification link opens a sign-in page. Enter your email and password, and click Login.
- A message will be displayed to confirm that your email has been verified. Click Get Started.
- Authenticate the social media accounts you use. This helps the brand understand your online presence and confirms to them that you are the owner of these accounts. You must authenticate at least one account to join Partner Hub. To authenticate your ownership:
- Click Add.
- The related platform will open and prompt you to log in to your account. The exact steps vary by platform, so follow the on-screen prompts.
- You will also be asked for your permission to share relevant data. You must grant us this permission in order to proceed.
- You will be returned to the account creation page once authentication has completed successfully.
- Select your Country and, if applicable, your State. This is where you plan to receive your commission. Click Next.
- Select your business setup: An individual or Part of a company. If you are unsure, click the question mark icon for more information. Click Next.
You will be prompted to enter different information depending on your selection. Click the + next to the business setup you selected to view detailed steps:
- Enter your profile name. This is the name your followers know you by and will be visible to the brand. Click Next.
- You will be prompted to optionally provide the URL to your primary channel. If you share content via social media platforms and do not have a website, click Skip. Otherwise, enter the direct link to your page. If our system cannot auto-populate a description of your channel, enter one manually. Click Next.
- Add and authenticate more accounts as needed, and click Next.
- Select the number of visitors and views you receive each month. Click Next.
- Select the categories you cover. This will help the brand find you. Click Next.
- Read the Advertiser's Terms and Conditions, the Publisher Membership Agreement, and our Affiliate Network Policies. You must check the boxes to accept the terms before you click Submit Application.
- Enter the name of the company. Click Next.
- Select the company's business classification. Click Next.
- You will be prompted to optionally provide the URL to the company's primary channel. If the company's online presence is mostly on social media platforms rather than a website, click Skip. Otherwise, enter the direct link to the website. If our system cannot auto-populate a description of your channel, enter one manually. Click Next.
- Add and authenticate more accounts as needed, and click Next.
- Select the number of visitors and views you receive each month. Click Next.
- Select the categories you cover. This will help the brand find you. Click Next.
- Read the Advertiser's Terms and Conditions, the Publisher Membership Agreement, and our Affiliate Network Policies. You must check the boxes to accept the terms before you click Submit Application.
Next Steps
Once you submit your application, your next steps depend on whether or not you applied with a pre-approved social handle:
A message will appear confirming that your application has been sent. The brand will review your partnership request and decide whether to accept or decline. Learn more about the application review process.
If the brand whose program you are joining has pre-approved the social media account you verified, you will be automatically accepted. Click Get Started to log back in and start using Partner Hub. You will be prompted to complete your profile, set your payment method, and provide tax information.
