Complete Your Profile

The first step is to provide your address and tax declaration. This is key, as Rakuten Advertising is legally required to collect tax-related information from all creators to issue commission payments.

The tax information required depends on your location. Follow these steps to enter your address into our system:

  1. Go to Account in the navigation header and click Account Details.
  2. This takes you to the page's General tab. Click Edit Details.
  3. Select your country and enter your address and telephone number.
  4. Click Verify and save.
  5. A pop-up appears, prompting you to enter the verification code sent to the email address associated with your user account.
  6. Access the email, copy and paste the code in the pop-up, and click Submit code.

Once your address is saved, you can provide your tax information. The instructions for this depend on whether you are based in the US or outside of the US.

Payment Method

You must set your payment information in Partner Hub to get paid. Rakuten can pay your commissions via PayPal, direct deposit (ACH), or check. Your options depend on your location and the methods available from the network your brand partner is in. View detailed instructions on setting up your payment method.

Share Links

You can start sharing links to your brand partner's products as soon as your account is live. You can get these links in Partner Hub by:

  • Copying the text, banner, or product links your brand partner created, or
  • Creating your own deep links, which direct your audience to a specific page on your brand partner's site of your choosing.

Program Info

For more information about your brand partner, check out their Program Info page. This details their contact information, Terms and Conditions, and available offers.

Additional Brand Features

Depending on your brand partner's enablement, you might have access to Storefront and Activations:

  • Storefront is a customizable showcase of your brand partner's shoppable content that you curate and share with your audience via a single link. You can promote this link on any social platform so your followers can discover content, shop through your picks, and find inspiration anytime. Learn more about setting up your Storefront.
  • Activations are created by your brand partner to incentivize you to curate content around a key event or moment for them. When it sets up an Activation, a brand provides a timeframe, the deliverables they want completed, and how you will be compensated. Learn more about Activations.

Reports

The Reports page in Partner Hub is where you can track your program's performance. It includes standard reports you can run to track performance at a glance and a customizable Reporting Interface, which lets you run more complex built-in reports and create your own reports.
