Offer Types

Introduction

Your brand partner can create public, private, and special offers.

Public Offers

Public offers are visible to all the creators that the brand has partnered with. When your application to join Partner Hub is approved, you are typically placed in a public offer.

Private Offers

Private offers include special program terms your brand partner makes available to select creators. Typically, the terms of a private offer are more favorable than those of the public offers available to all approved creators. For instance, the brand may use a private offer to pay you a higher percentage of a sale than it pays under its baseline offer.

You will receive a notification whenever a private offer is assigned to you.

Special Offers

A brand creates a special offer to provide a particular commission rate on a select group of its products. Typically, a special offer is combined with the brand's regular offers.

If a consumer purchases a product covered by a special offer, you will earn a commission based on the special offer terms. If a consumer purchases a product not covered by the special offer, you will earn a commission based on the regular offer you are in.

Special offers can be public or private. Like regular offers, they can be assigned, so you will start participating in them on the effective date selected by the brand. Otherwise, you can choose to join any special offer the brand makes available to you.

There are important considerations to be aware of before joining a special offer; click the + for more information:

Is the special offer right for me?

Once you join a special offer, you remain in it until it expires. Before opting in, evaluate whether the offer is right for you.

For example, a brand's regular offer pays a 5% commission on all makeup, but it creates a special offer that pays creators $2 per mascara. If you refer a customer who buys a mascara, you will receive the $2 per-item commission instead of the 5% commission. If you have successfully sold mascaras for this brand, but nearly all the customers you referred have purchased products over $40, then the brand's regular offer is better for you.

Commissioning on Multiple Special Offers

You can accept multiple special offers simultaneously. If a customer you referred buys a product covered by more than one of the special offers you accepted, the special offer you accepted most recently takes priority over the others. This means you will be paid the commission for the most recent special offer.

Next Steps

You can view available and assigned public, private, and special offers in the Offers tab of your brand partner's Program Info. Once there, you can manually switch or join offers early.
